Bryer Carpet & Blinds is a family owned and operated store offering high quality floor and window coverings. From floors to walls, they cover it all!
In 1981 twin brothers, Daryl and Dave Bryer, the "Bryer Brothers", established Gemini Carpet Cleaning. A full-service carpet, upholstery, janitorial, and restoration cleaning company. They quickly became one of the most reputable carpet cleaning companies in Lincoln with a large and loyal customer base.
Fast forward five years, the twins decided to expand on their knowledge of carpet and opened the doors at Bryer Brothers Rug Company. At the time they offered everything from floor coverings and window blinds to paint and wallpaper. Still located at 2344 South 13th Street, only the name has changed.
At Bryer Carpet & Blinds you will still find a wide selection of colorful carpets, luxury vinyl, exotic hardwood, custom window blinds and more! In addition, you will meet with qualified design consultants to help you choose the perfect products for your home or office, you will also find some of the most experienced installers to complete the project for you!
Forty years later, The Twins and their staff have continued to build lifelong relationships with their clients. They are very humbled and proud of their businesses and their reputation in the community.

Meet The Bryer's!
Daryl Bryer
Owner
Daryl is part owner but prefers to be called the “Gopher” of the company! Aside from being the gopher, Daryl is truly the flooring expert. With almost fifty years in the carpet industry, he does all of the flooring measurements, estimates and problem solving. On occasion, you might find him out and about cleaning
carpets, picking up rugs, taking up flooring, installing window blinds or taking a quick lunch break at one of his favorite local Mexican restaurants. Although he is of retirement age, Daryl prefers to stay active with the business and is usually the first one to arrive to work and the last one to leave!
Dave Bryer
Owner
Dave is part owner, however, he officially retired from the business in 2020. When he was active, he was our main estimator and installer in the window blind department. Dave is enjoying retirement and spends most of his time doing projects around the house or spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Daughter to Daryl Bryer, Dani has been a full-time employee at the family business for almost 30 years! She wears many hats around here, however, her main focus is in showroom sales. She is extremely knowledgeable in the flooring and window covering industry and is a Certified Design Consultant of Hunter Douglas window treatments. On occasion, she is out measuring for new custom blinds and even helping with the installations.
Todd Bryer
Sales & Installation
Son to Dave Bryer, Todd has been a full-time employee at the family business for 35 years! When his dad retired last year, Todd took over his position as our main window treatment installer. When he’s not busy hanging blinds he is working with our sister company, cleaning carpets…or joining Daryl for a Mexican food lunch!
Makenna Bryer
Certified Interior Designer/Decorator
Granddaughter to Daryl Bryer, Makenna has been employed in the family business for almost ten years! In 2020, she received her certification in interior design and decorating. In addition to helping you pick out the perfect flooring or window treatments, she is able to draw up floor and furniture plans using 3D modeling and renderings and can put together proper color schemes and material boards, draft lighting plans and so much more!
Dani Bryer
Showroom & Business Manager
Cheryl is married to Daryl and has been an active part of the company since its inception. She is currently working part-time in the office and in the showroom. Her passion has always been in decorating and she is very helpful when choosing those perfect colors and products for your home!
Sundance (Sunie) Bowles
Sales Associate
Daughter to Daryl, Sunie has been a part-time employee in the family business for 24 years! Although her main focus is in office support, she also assists with sales in the window treatment department.
Jose Rivera
Lead Carpet Installer
Jose is of no relation to the Bryer’s, however, he has been a part of the family for 26 years! He is the lead carpet installer with over 40 years of experience. Jose takes great pride in his work and is truly an artist in the field. His attention to detail and meticulous work ethic are unmatched!
